WHO I AM

It’s always strange writing your own bio. I work hard not to brag about myself, and now I am faced with a task that contrasts with that. First and foremost, I am a father of three beautiful little girls whom I love dearly.

I am an everyday man with an appetite for adventure. I have always sought out hard-earned things, sometimes to the detriment of my body, but will continue these pursuits until I can no longer get up.

I am a veteran of both OIF and OEF. I am Sniper, a title I hold near to my heart. I have spent my entire adult life pursuing excellence behind a rifle; it is as much a part of me as my own two hands. I am a teacher of sorts. I pass the knowledge I have gained through my life to Snipers from all services, conventional and SOF. This is how I give back to my community. I am passionate about making hunters more lethal in the mountains. I am a student who seeks mastery, hoping I never gain it.

I am an outdoorsman, living in the Pacific Northwest affords me many opportunities to pursue other passions, such as climbing, surfing, and hunting. I am a contributing writer to Field Ethos, Forward Observations, Soflete’s Die Living Journal, and The Journal of Mountain Hunting.  I am a yogi working with companies to break stereotypes of masculinity and help Veterans transition. I have been so fortunate in my life to be a person who loves what they do, as I believe living with passion for all things is what truly helps us live. I think the two great philosophers "Bill" S. Preston Esq. &  Theodore "Ted" Logan summed it up great when they waxed philosophical on this: “The Best Time To Be Is Now, And All’s We Can Say Is...Let’s Rock!”
